Are you a young African passionate about climate action, environmental sustainability and building a resilient future for the continent?

Applications are open for delegates to participate in the Regional Conference of Youth for Africa—RCOY Africa 2026—taking place in Accra, Ghana, from 18 to 21 October 2026.

RCOY Africa is a major regional platform that brings together young climate leaders, researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, policymakers, civil society representatives and development partners from across the continent.

Under the theme, “Driving Integrated Solutions Across Africa’s Climate Agenda for Impact, Resilience and Justice,” participants will exchange ideas, strengthen their knowledge and help shape African youth priorities ahead of COP31.

Who can apply?

Applicants must:

* Be between 18 and 35 years old
* Be a citizen or resident of an African country
* Demonstrate an interest or involvement in climate-related issues
* Be prepared to contribute meaningfully to conference discussions and activities
* Complete the application using their own experiences, perspectives and words

The opportunity is particularly relevant to young people involved or interested in:

* Climate action and climate justice
* Environmental sustainability
* Renewable energy
* Climate adaptation and mitigation
* Green entrepreneurship
* Research and innovation
* Sustainable development

Funding information

A limited number of fully and partially funded places may be available. Funding is competitive and is not guaranteed for every selected delegate. Applicants should carefully review any funding information communicated by the organisers.

Important application requirement

The organisers require every applicant to complete the application in their own words. Generative AI must not be used to prepare personal statements or answers submitted through the application form.
